China National Day

Today (Oct 1st) is National Day in China. This year the celebration is exceptionally big because this is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Every channel on t.v. was plastered with special performances/festivities celebrating the 60 years. Mao Ze Dong's face was everywhere. There was a huge celebration in Beijing where soldiers marched in formation, fireworks went off, thousands of performers all perfectly in sync danced on Tiananmen Square. It was stunning. Ramsey and I went with Shizhang's mother to her friends house to watch it on T.V. I got to know all of her friends. We just had a blast and I came up with the idea to play dress up and so we borrowed some clothes and well the pictures tell the story.
